SOLUME LIVING

Kim Campbell

Born and raised in the small town of Nelson, I grew up with vegetables in the garden and kombucha brewing in the cupboard. Natural medicine was a part of everyday living. My passion towards the healing power of food and herbs continued to flourish throughout my study years which lead me abroad to further my skills and knowledge. I became a qualified naturopath with a Bachelor degree in Health Science and a diploma in Clinical Nutrition whilst living in Australia where I met my Chef husband and had my first baby boy.

I changed my practice from city clinic to island paradise during a contract as Resident Health Practitioner on a private island resort in Fiji. This is where my love for apothecary and food-as-medicine blossomed as I was encouraged to get back to the 'roots' of healing with natural remedies and herbal workshops.

Prior to and alongside a decade of studying, I was immersed within the hospitality scene. Being amongst people, hosting, serving and communicating has been a skill I've recognised I not only have and love, but flourish in. A natural flow to combine these areas have led me towards hosting wellness retreats and workshops within the area.

In New Zealand, during a postpartum period with my third baby, I had the chance to go inward. Taking time away from seeing clients, and focusing on seeing myself, my family and my environment. Focusing on personal development and mindful growth. With that, I was introduced to the world of Cha Dao (an ancient form of tea ceremony and meditation), Reiki (a practice of healing energy), and peaceful parenting (a daily practice!). Combining my world of naturopathic principles, tea, meditation, reiki & sound healing for a complete holistic experience.

Now based in Byron Bay with my fourth baby, I've realised just how important the Mother's health is.

She is the nucleus of the family, the energy holder, and nurturer (among many other titles),

yet she often puts herself last on the list of people to care for.

Her light starts to fade.

This changes the entire environment of the home,

her relationships,

her children.

She needs support, so she can continue supporting those she loves.

That's where SOLUME comes in.

A place for light to land.
